With OmniValue you can organize your financial assets into portfolios and "owners." A portfolio contains assets of the same type, and the owner represents all assets that have the same legal owner. The assets are shown in a "value explorer" that's similar to the Windows Explorer. Different types of assets can be defined, such as stocks, funds, bonds, and bank accounts. The type of asset is defined by making a selection from a list of predefined value types. The asset is further described by inserting transactions, which are selected from a list of predefined transaction types. For each type of asset in the value explorer, calculations of market value, gain/loss, investment, Return, ROI, income, and tax is shown both as numbers and as graphs. The graphs show financial data per year, per component, and per type of value. The present value for an asset may also be updated from quote servers on the Web.
Version 1.4 features a new financial metric for measuring gain/loss of investments still held, support for mixed currencies in a document, templates to quickly get started with new documents, a new wizard for creating portfolios. Plus many more improvements including support for export of reference sources, improved web report, etc.
